    In the multipage essay by John Wood, Dimitris Yeros is referred to as one of the great contemporary masters of portraiture.

    THE NAKED AND THE NUDE

    New book BY GRAFICHE DELL'ARTIERE

    Written by the former director of Shrin Kunsthalle- Franfurt  and the  Museum of Modern Art-Bologna  Peter Weirmair.

    Included an image of  Dimitris Yeros 

    The Naked and The Nude is the latest book from printing house Grafiche dell' Artiere. This is the 10th book in an annual series from the prestigious printing company, who picks a new theme to showcase every year. This year the theme is an anthology of nude photography, featuring work from world renowned photographers such as; Masao Yamamoto, Joel-Peter Witkin, Duane Michals, Nadav Kander, and Dimitris Yeros.

    More of a collectable art piece than a photography book the series is curated by Peter Weiermair, art directed and designed by Gianni Giulianelli and Maddalena Gracis. The book will be released in a limited edition of 500 and is not available for sale.

    The presentation of the book will take place on 25 September at Hasted&Kraeuttler  gallery in New York.

    The Greek photographer’s work has a certain picture-book charm, especially when his subjects are out in nature.

    Two shots of a couple with a snake make the Edenic subtext obvious, and single figures framed in a luxuriant garden suggest saints in illuminated manuscripts or the ornate embellishments.
